Eteosrajoitoja is a Finnish term that translates to "forecasting limitations" or "projection constraints." It refers to the inherent difficulties and uncertainties encountered when attempting to predict future events, trends, or outcomes. These limitations can arise from a multitude of factors, making any forecast an approximation rather than a precise prediction.

One primary source of eteosrajoitoja is the complexity of the systems being forecast. Many phenomena, whether economic, social, environmental, or technological, involve numerous interacting variables and feedback loops. Small changes in one area can have unforeseen and amplified effects elsewhere, making long-term predictions exceptionally challenging. Human behavior, for instance, is notoriously unpredictable and can deviate significantly from past patterns.

Another significant limitation stems from the quality and availability of data. Forecasts are typically based on historical data, which may not always be representative of future conditions. Data can be incomplete, inaccurate, or biased, leading to flawed assumptions in the forecasting models.
