Drótrezisztorok

Drótrezisztorok, also known as wirewound resistors, are a type of electrical resistor made by winding a resistive wire around a core. The wire is typically made of an alloy like nichrome (nickel-chromium) or constantan (copper-nickel), chosen for its stable resistance value even at higher temperatures. The core is usually made of ceramic or a similar non-conductive material.

The resistance value of a drótrezisztor is determined by the length, gauge, and material of the resistive wire, as well as the number of turns. These resistors are known for their ability to dissipate significant amounts of heat, making them suitable for high-power applications. They are also generally quite robust and can withstand high temperatures and mechanical stress.

Drótrezisztorok are often used in power supplies, motor controls, braking resistors for electric vehicles, and in various industrial applications where high power dissipation is required. They can be manufactured with very precise resistance values and low inductance, which is beneficial in certain high-frequency circuits. However, due to the nature of their construction, they can be physically larger and more expensive than other types of resistors, such as film resistors, especially for lower resistance values. Their characteristic winding can also introduce parasitic inductance and capacitance, which might be a consideration in very sensitive high-frequency designs.
