Civielmilitaire

Civielmilitaire is a term used to describe the relationship between civilian authorities and the armed forces within a state. It refers to how political leadership, legislative bodies, and the military interact, and how military power is governed and supervised by civilians. The central principle is civilian control, ensuring that democratically elected officials set defense policy and allocate resources, while military professionals provide expertise and carry out duties within legal and policy limits.
