CVühikut, also known as the Estonian national costume or *rahvarõivastus*, is a traditional attire that reflects the cultural heritage of Estonia. The term "CVühikut" is a phonetic spelling of the word "kõvike," which refers to the distinctive embroidered apron worn by women in traditional Estonian dress. This costume has evolved over centuries, influenced by local craftsmanship, regional variations, and historical events.

The traditional Estonian costume typically consists of a long-sleeved blouse (*püü*), a dark skirt (*kõvike*), and a headscarf (*peavõrk*). The apron, or *kõvike*, is often elaborately embroidered with geometric patterns, floral motifs, or symbolic designs, each carrying cultural significance. The embroidery varies by region, with distinct styles in areas like Setomaa, Saaremaa, and Harju County. Married women traditionally wore their hair covered with a headscarf, while unmarried women left their hair loose.
