Dynamic binary translation involves translating instructions at runtime, allowing for more flexibility and compatibility with different software versions. Static binary translation, on the other hand, involves translating the entire binary code before execution, which can result in faster performance but requires more upfront processing.

Despite its advantages, binary emulation has some limitations. The performance of emulated software can be significantly lower than that of natively executed software due to the overhead of instruction translation. Additionally, emulation may not support all features of the original system, particularly those that are closely tied to hardware-specific functionality.
