Wieszanie (Polish gerund from wieszać, "to hang") denotes the act of suspending, fastening or affixing an object or person from above so that it is supported by a point or line. The term covers a range of physical and figurative actions in everyday, technical and historical contexts.

In material and domestic use, wieszanie describes hanging clothes, pictures, curtains or decorations.
