Tendinum refers to the medical condition known as tendinitis, which is the inflammation of a tendon, a thick fibrous cord that attaches muscle to bone. This condition often arises from repetitive motions, overuse, or sudden trauma to a tendon, leading to irritation and swelling. Tendinitis is commonly associated with activities that involve repetitive strain, such as sports, manual labor, or certain occupations like typing or painting.
