Smakmeny is a dining format in which a restaurant presents a curated sequence of small courses designed to be tasted as a single meal. Originating in European haute cuisine, the concept has spread worldwide and is commonly offered as a fixed-price menu with optional beverage pairings. The dishes are chosen by the chef to highlight seasonal ingredients, technique, and harmony of flavors, often progressing from lighter to more substantial courses and sometimes including amuse-bouches and palate cleansers.
