Riskitasets are structured collections of risk scenarios used to facilitate risk assessment and decision making. In risk management literature, a riskitaset aggregates individual risk items into a coherent set that can be analyzed, compared, and updated over time. The term emphasizes that the value of the analysis comes from the configuration and interaction of items as much as from any single item.

A riskitaset is constructed by identifying sources of risk, defining plausible events, and estimating their probability and potential impact. Items are annotated with time horizon, affected assets, and existing controls. To aid analysis, items are grouped into sub-sets by theme, domain, or stakeholder, and scored using a transparent metric such as a risk score (probability times impact).

Riskitasets are used for enterprise risk management, project risk assessment, safety engineering, and emergency planning. They support scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, and prioritization of mitigations, enabling organizations to compare potential responses under a common framework and to monitor risk evolution across periods.

Limitations include reliance on subjective estimates, data quality constraints, and the potential for overlap among items. Maintaining current riskitasets requires regular review and governance to avoid stale or duplicated scenarios.
