Grouped is the past participle of the verb group and is used as an adjective or verb to describe something that has been arranged into groups or categories. The term is common across disciplines and everyday language to convey organization or clustering.

In statistics, grouped data refers to data that are organized into discrete classes or intervals, rather than as a list of individual observations. This approach is used to form frequency distributions, simplify analysis of large data sets, and estimate measures such as the mean or standard deviation from class midpoints, frequencies, and class widths.

In computing and data processing, grouping is a standard operation: records can be grouped by a key (for example, by category or date) and then aggregated (sum, average, count). SQL uses GROUP BY; spreadsheet tools offer similar grouping features; programming languages provide groupby operations in libraries and frameworks such as pandas or LINQ.

Outside formal contexts, grouped simply describes objects or events that are organized into clusters or sets, rather than being left scattered.
