Laadperrons are loading platforms used in logistics to facilitate the transfer of goods between transport modes and storage facilities. The term is Dutch and typically describes a raised platform that aligns with the floor of a truck, trailer, or rail car to enable safe and efficient pallet handling. Laadperrons are commonly found at warehouses, distribution centers, rail yards, and port facilities, where goods are frequently loaded and unloaded.

There are several configurations. A dock-level platform is integrated into a building with dock doors and may include a dock leveller that adjusts height to match different vehicles. External loading bays at rail or seaport facilities may use specialized equipment to bridge gaps between rolling stock and the platform. Some facilities employ adjustable or mobile platforms to accommodate varying vehicle heights and handling needs.

Key components include the deck or dock surface, dock bumpers to absorb impact, edge protection and safety rails, weather seals and dock shelters to minimize drafts, and dock levelers or ramps that adjust to vehicle height. Additional features often comprise lighting, clear markings, and safety devices such as wheel chocks and sensor-based alarms.

Operationally, laadperrons support inbound and outbound goods flows, cross-docking, and peak-load handling. They enable efficient use of forklifts and pallet jacks and help protect products from weather exposure and damage during transfer. Proper design and maintenance are essential to ensure safe, reliable operation and to extend the lifespan of loading facilities.

Safety and regulation emphasize regular inspections, load limits, maintenance of mechanical components, clear signage, and adherence to national and international standards governing loading bays and docking equipment.
