The form jyrsimiä is nonstandard and typically appears in dialectal use or translation errors. Consequently, jyrsimiä is best understood as a colloquial or mistaken variant rather than a precise technical term.

Rodents (order Rodentia) comprise a diverse group of mammals, including mice, rats, squirrels, beavers, and voles.
