imageboards
An imageboard is an online discussion forum organized around user-posted images with accompanying text. Threads are typically created by posting an image and optional text to a categorized board dedicated to a topic (hobbies, media, politics, etc.). Unlike many forums, imageboards often emphasize anonymity: users commonly post without persistent account identities, though optional features such as tripcodes allow a user to verify identity within a thread.
