Extraamtesanering is typically applied in situations where asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) are present in buildings or infrastructure, such as insulation, roofing, or flooring, and where the scope of work is larger than a standard remediation project. It can arise during major renovations, building demolitions, water damage, or other incidents that increase the potential for asbestos exposure. The designation signals additional precautions, monitoring, or containment measures beyond baseline procedures.

Procedures and safety
