Crosstalkiin is a term used in systems biology to describe a proposed class of regulatory molecules that mediate crosstalk between cellular signaling pathways. The name combines the concept of signaling crosstalk with the common protein- or RNA-like suffix -iin, suggesting both proteinaceous and noncoding RNA interpretations.
