Centralbrandlarm is a centralized life-safety system that monitors fire-detection devices and controls audible and visual alarms throughout a building. The system integrates detection, notification, and sometimes automatic control of other building systems to support safe evacuation and emergency response.

Key components include a fire alarm control panel (FACP), initiating devices such as smoke and heat detectors and manual call points, and notification appliances like horns and strobes. A power supply with battery back-up, cabling, and network interfaces connect devices across zones.
