Centralbrandlarm

Centralbrandlarm is a centralized life-safety system that monitors fire-detection devices and controls audible and visual alarms throughout a building. The system integrates detection, notification, and sometimes automatic control of other building systems to support safe evacuation and emergency response.

Key components include a fire alarm control panel (FACP), initiating devices such as smoke and heat detectors and manual call points, and notification appliances like horns and strobes. A power supply with battery back-up, cabling, and network interfaces connect devices across zones. Some systems use annunciation panels for on-site monitoring; devices can be arranged by zones (conventional) or identified individually (addressable).

On detection, the control panel processes signals, triggers alarms, and logs events. It can automatically perform responses such as door release, elevator recall, or HVAC shutdown, and may alert security or a central monitoring service. Manual call points allow occupants to trigger alarms, and the system may be linked to suppression systems in certain installations.

Centralbrandlarm are used in offices, schools, hospitals, and industrial facilities, and may be standalone or integrated with broader life-safety or building-management systems. They can be controlled locally or monitored remotely by an off-site service.

Regular testing, inspections, battery maintenance, and fault monitoring are required to ensure reliability; many systems include remote supervision and diagnostics.
