Bridgedweller is a term used in speculative biology and fantasy fiction to describe a small, bridge-dwelling organism adapted to life on and under human-made structures spanning waterways. It is not an officially recognized species, and there is no verified evidence of bridgedwellers in the natural world.

Descriptions in fiction typically present bridgedwellers as about the size of a mink, with a slender, agile body, damp or glossy fur, and limbs suited to climbing the rough surfaces of concrete, steel, and masonry. Some accounts assign them pale, glow-in-the-dark markings to aid navigation in dim under-bridge spaces. Their senses are imagined as highly adapted to low light and vibration.

They are said to inhabit the undersides of bridges, culverts, and archways along rivers and canals, nesting in crevices among rebar, damp mortar, and debris. They are generally nocturnal, emerging to forage for insects, crustaceans, and occasional plant matter, and they are thought to be adept at moving along cables, girders, and tunnel-like spaces.

Reproduction is described variably in fiction, ranging from small breeding pairs to loose social groups, with seasonal or idiosyncratic breeding cycles depending on the setting.

In human contexts, bridgedwellers are often portrayed as enigmatic urban beings. They are sometimes depicted as guardians of river crossings or as omens in folklore, while in other narratives they are simply another element of city fauna.

Because bridgedwellers are a fictional construct, they have no conservation status or scientific classification outside of literary and game worlds.
