Allocationia is a theoretical framework for analyzing the distribution of scarce resources among interacting agents under constraints. The term combines the notion of allocation with the -ia suffix commonly used for abstract or theoretical constructs. It emerged in discussions among researchers seeking a unified way to formalize questions of fairness, efficiency, and stability in resource assignment.

The framework treats resources, agents, and constraints as core elements. Resources can be of various types, such as time, bandwidth, or physical goods; agents may be consumers, firms, or automated decision-makers; and constraints include budgets, capacities, externalities, and policy restrictions. An allocation outcome specifies how resources are assigned to agents, along with the resulting utilities or payoffs.
