Warnpraxis refers to a systematic approach to warning and risk communication that has been developed primarily in German-speaking countries. The term combines „Warnen“ (to warn) with „Praxis“ (practice) and is used to describe the set of procedures, guidelines, and best practices that authorities and organizations follow when they must alert the public or specific stakeholders about imminent threats. These threats may be natural hazards such as floods or landslides, technological accidents, public health emergencies or security incidents.
