Vengeflies

Vengeflies are a subfamily of robber flies that are known for their distinctive and aggressive behavior. The scientific name for this group is Asilinae. They are part of the larger Asilidae family, which consists of over 7,000 species of flies.

Vengeflies are found in a wide range of habitats, including forests, grasslands, and wetlands, across the world. They are typically identified by their long, slender body and distinctive markings, which can include stripes or spots on their thorax and abdomen. The coloration of vengeflies can vary depending on the species, but many have a metallic sheen to their bodies.

These flies are predatory and feed on other small insects, as well as spiders and other small arthropods.
