In women, common causes include ovulation disorders (such as polycystic ovary syndrome), fallopian tube damage or blockage, endometriosis, uterine abnormalities, or low sperm count or motility in partners. Hormonal imbalances, age-related decline in fertility, and lifestyle factors like smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, or obesity can also contribute. Men may experience infertility due to low sperm production, abnormal sperm function, or blockages in the reproductive tract.
