Udløsningspunkt is a Danish term that translates to "trigger point" or "release point" in English. It is most commonly used in the context of physical therapy and sports medicine to describe a hyperirritable spot within a taut band of skeletal muscle that is painful when palpated. These points are often associated with chronic pain conditions and musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Trigger points are believed to arise from repetitive strain, acute trauma, or postural stress that leads to localized muscle damage and inflammation.
