Typpos is a fictional city-state that appears in several works of speculative fiction and tabletop role-playing games. It is depicted as a coastal urban center on the Typpos Archipelago, west of the mainland continents. The population is typically described as around 120,000, with districts such as the Harbor Quarter, Market Pier, Old Library District, and Scriptorium Row.

Historically, Typpos emerged as a medieval trade hub built around a natural harbor and river channels. It developed a guild-based economy and a strong scholarly tradition, culminating in the establishment of the Great Library, a repository of manuscripts and maps.

Governance is commonly portrayed as a republic led by the Guild Council, including representatives from trade, shipping, and scholarship. The council elects a City Magistrate who serves as the executive head for a five-year term. The city is often depicted as pragmatic, with a tradition of negotiation and quiet diplomacy.
