Treeningsaali, literally “training hall” in Estonian, denotes a room or facility dedicated to physical exercise. The term is used for a gym or fitness room within a larger sports complex, school, workplace, or community center. A treeningsaali typically provides space and equipment for strength training, cardiovascular conditioning, and functional or group activities. The design can range from compact rooms to large fitness floors.

Common features include a free-weight area with dumbbells, barbells, benches, and racks; machines for resistance training; cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and rowing machines; a functional training zone with rigs or cages, kettlebells, medicine balls, and plyometric boxes; and spaces for classes like yoga, pilates, or high-intensity training. Adequate flooring, mirrors, and ventilation are standard, along with safety provisions such as first-aid kits, clear equipment instructions, and emergency procedures.
