TrackerSchutz
TrackerSchutz is a privacy protection tool that identifies and neutralizes tracking devices and digital tracking mechanisms. Developed in Germany in 2018, the project was founded by a group of privacy advocates and software engineers aiming to give ordinary consumers a way to safeguard their personal space against covert monitoring. The product is distributed as a cross‑platform application that can be installed on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. On mobile devices it uses the phone’s sensors to scan for radio signals commonly used by RFID, BLE, and other low‑power wireless trackers. On computers it monitors network traffic for known tracking scripts, cookies and beacon URLs. When a potential tracker is detected, TrackerSchutz alerts the user and offers mitigation options such as disabling the related service, blocking the traffic, or physically removing the device.
The software’s functionality relies on a constantly updated database of tracking device identifiers and known tracking
