Tolkbarhet
Tolkbarhet is a term used in linguistics and related fields to describe the degree to which a text, statement, or other communicative artifact can be understood and interpreted by a recipient. The concept covers both human interpretability for readers and listeners and the translatability or interpretability of material across languages and cultures. In some contexts, notably within artificial intelligence and natural language processing, tolkbarhet also refers to how easily a model’s outputs or reasoning can be interpreted by humans.
Several dimensions influence tolkbarhet. Readability concerns how sentence structure, vocabulary level, and cohesion affect comprehension. Translatability
Measurement of tolkbarhet is typically descriptive rather than absolute. Readability is often assessed with linguistic metrics
Applications include legal and policy drafting, user documentation, education, localization, and the design of user interfaces
