Startmaterialet

Startmaterialet is an online educational portal launched in 2018 by the Danish nonprofit foundation 3C. The platform was created to provide free, high‑quality curricular resources for K‑12 schools across Denmark, with a focus on matching national curriculum standards. Its library includes lesson plans, worksheets, teacher guides and interactive tools for subjects such as mathematics, Danish, science, history and foreign languages. Materials are available in Danish and English, with a growing collection in additional European languages.

The site is used by more than 80,000 students and around 5,000 teachers nationwide. It offers search and filter capabilities, allowing educators to locate resources by subject, grade level, or learning objective. In addition to static content, Startmaterialet hosts web‑based learning modules, formative assessment tools and a community forum where teachers can share best practices.
