Seiso
Seiso, meaning cleanliness or to clean in Japanese, is the third component of the 5S workplace organization methodology, alongside Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in order), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain). In practice, Seiso refers to cleaning the workplace and its equipment as well as inspecting for signs of wear or abnormality. The goal is to create a safe, organized, and efficient environment where problems are visible.
