Robotike

Robotike is a field of engineering and science that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robots are programmable machines that can carry out a series of actions automatically. The term "robot" was first used by Czech writer Karel Čapek in his 1920 play R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots), derived from the Czech word "robota," meaning forced labor or drudgery.

The core principles of robotike involve mechanics, electronics, and computer science. Mechanical engineers design the physical structure of robots, including their limbs, joints, and mobility systems. Electrical engineers develop the circuits, sensors, actuators, and power systems that enable robots to function. Computer scientists create the software and algorithms that control robot behavior, allowing them to perceive their environment, make decisions, and execute tasks.

Robots are employed in a wide variety of applications. In manufacturing, they perform repetitive and dangerous tasks such as welding, assembly, and painting. Ethical considerations and societal impacts are also significant aspects of robotike as robots become increasingly integrated into daily life.
