Raumausbildung refers to vocational training for the profession of Raumausstatter, a craftsman who furnishes and decorates interiors. Practically, Raumausstatter design, install and repair interior fittings such as upholstery, textiles (curtains, upholstery fabrics, bedding), window coverings, wall and floor coverings, and decorative elements. Their work combines craft techniques with design, color theory, materials knowledge and customer consultation to create functional and aesthetically cohesive rooms. The scope includes private residences, hotels, retail spaces and professional environments.
