Noodlefish
Noodlefish, scientifically known as *Lophius piscatorius*, is a species of anglerfish belonging to the family Lophiidae. This marine fish is characterized by its flattened body, wide mouth filled with sharp teeth, and a distinctive lure. The lure, which is a modified dorsal fin spine, is used to attract prey in the dark depths of the ocean. Noodlefish are typically found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, from Norway and Iceland down to the coasts of Africa, as well as in the Mediterranean and Black Seas. They inhabit sandy or muddy bottoms of both coastal waters and the continental shelf, usually at depths ranging from near the surface to over 2,000 meters.
