Nemanoma

Nemanoma is not a term recognized in standard medical references. In most medical dictionaries and databases there is no defined disease by that name, and when the term appears it is often a misspelling or a placeholder. Consequently, nemanoma does not have a stable clinical description. In practice, readers should verify the intended meaning in context and substitute melanoma for a malignant pigment-cell tumor or neoplasm for a general tumor, as appropriate.

Melanoma is a malignant neoplasm of melanocytes, most commonly arising in the skin but capable of occurring in the eye and mucous membranes. It often presents as a new lesion or a change in an existing mole characterized by asymmetry, irregular borders, color variation, a diameter greater than about 6 mm, or evolving appearance. Risk factors include ultraviolet exposure, light skin, a high number of common or unusual moles, family history, and certain genetic mutations. Diagnosis relies on biopsy with histopathologic assessment; staging incorporates tumor depth (Breslow thickness), ulceration, mitotic rate, lymph node involvement, and distant metastasis. Localized melanoma is usually treated with surgical excision with clear margins; sentinel lymph node biopsy may be performed for staging. Advanced disease may require systemic therapies such as immune checkpoint inhibitors and targeted agents for tumors with specific mutations, sometimes in combination with radiotherapy. Prognosis depends largely on stage at diagnosis, with earlier lesions carrying a favorable prognosis and later-stage disease requiring multidisciplinary care. If nemanoma is used as a general term for neoplasms, it refers to abnormal tissue growth that can be benign or malignant and is managed according to the type, location, and behavior of the tumor.
