Midlorn

Midlorn is a coastal town and civil parish located in Veridia, a fictional nation on the southern shore of the Veridian Bay. It sits at the mouth of the Ember River and is backed by low hills. The town experiences a temperate maritime climate, with mild, wet winters and cool, relatively dry summers.

Historically, Midlorn emerged as a fishing and trading port in the 12th century. Its harbor expanded in the 18th century, enabling broader maritime commerce and shipbuilding. The arrival of the railway in the late 19th century linked the town to inland markets, contributing to population growth. In the late 20th century, Midlorn diversified toward seafood processing, tourism, and light manufacturing.

Economic activities include commercial fishing, seafood processing, boatbuilding, and services for residents and visitors. The town markets fresh seafood, hosts an annual Maritime Festival, and serves as a gateway to nearby beaches and nature areas.
