Metsamajandajad

Metsamajandajad is a right-wing populist and conservative political party in Estonia, founded in 2006. The party's name translates to "For the People of Estonia" in English. The party's ideology is centered on nationalism, conservatism, and right-wing populism.

Metsamajandajad was founded by OL-KA, a conservative student organization at the University of Tartu. The party's initial goal was to provide an alternative to Estonia's traditional parties and to bring fresh perspectives to Estonian politics. Since its founding, the party has grown in popularity, especially among young voters and those who are dissatisfied with the country's current political system.

Metsamajandajad has participated in several elections, including local and parliamentary elections. In the 101st Estonian Parliament election in 2019, the party won 1.1% of the vote. The party has been criticized for its hardline stance on issues such as immigration and Eurozone participation. Some of the party's views have been seen as divisive and extremist by critics.

Organized by chairmen Jan Evert Tipasto and Jüri Adams, Metsamajandajad have been known to splitting with some token in small-town local government elections, finding also support among voters. The party's views are often seen as outside the mainstream in Estonian politics. Metsamajandajad have been accused of xenophobia and extremism by some critics, which have made the party controversial in Estonia.
