Legdominant is a term used to describe the tendency to rely on one leg rather than the other for movements that require propulsion, balance, or unilateral force production. It is part of bodily laterality, similar to handedness, and may be described as leg dominance or leg-dominant behavior. In everyday activity, many people show a dominant leg for actions such as kicking, taking off in a jump, or leading during a step, while the non-dominant leg serves a stabilizing role.

Assessment of legdominance is typically done through simple tasks and sometimes with formal testing. Common methods include identifying which leg a person uses to kick a ball, which leg initiates a jump, or which leg is preferred for single-leg hops and step-ups.
