LP400S

The LP400S, also known as the Lamborghini Countach LP400S, is a limited production variant of the iconic Lamborghini Countach sports car. Produced from 1978 to 1982, the LP400S represented a styling evolution of the original Countach. It is visually distinguished by its more aggressive stance, featuring wider Pirelli P7 tires and often larger fender flares to accommodate them. The suspension was also revised, with the car sitting lower to the ground.

Under the hood, the LP400S retained the powerful 4.0-liter V12 engine from its predecessor, though it was slightly detuned for this iteration. The engine produced approximately 370 horsepower. A notable feature of the LP400S was the introduction of a "periscopio" rearview mirror system, a raised central section in the roofline designed to improve rear visibility. This distinctive feature became a hallmark of the LP400S and subsequent Countach models.

Several series of the LP400S were produced, with minor variations in specifications and styling details between them. Production numbers were limited, making the LP400S a desirable collector's item today. Its dramatic wedge-shaped design, scissor doors, and high-performance capabilities cemented the Countach's status as a supercar legend, and the LP400S is considered one of its most sought-after iterations.
