Pirelli is an Italian multinational tyre manufacturer headquartered in Milan. Founded in 1872 by Giovanni Battista Pirelli as a rubber goods producer, the company later specialized in tires and became one of the world's leading suppliers of automotive and motorcycle tyres. Through the 20th century Pirelli expanded internationally and diversified into other rubber products, eventually focusing its business on premium and high-performance tires for consumer vehicles, motorcycles, and bicycles. The company operates manufacturing sites and a global distribution network across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Pirelli's products are organized into consumer tyres—ranging from high-performance summer and winter tyres to all-season options—and specialty lines for original equipment on premium car brands. Corporate structure and ownership: Pirelli & C. S.p.A. is the holding company behind the Pirelli Tire Group. Since 2015, ChemChina (China National Chemical Corporation) has been the principal owner, making Pirelli a global, China-led tire manufacturer. The company is publicly listed on the Milan Stock Exchange and maintains a global brand presence alongside the Pirelli Calendar, an annual publication featuring fine art photography used in charitable fundraising.
