ChemChina

ChemChina, officially China National Chemical Corporation, is a Chinese state-owned enterprise in the chemical sector. Established in 2004 through the consolidation of several state-owned chemical companies, it operates under the supervision of the State Council’s SASAC and is headquartered in Beijing. The group is diversified across basic and specialty chemicals, agrochemicals, rubber and polymer materials, and other chemical products, with operations spanning production, research and development, and distribution worldwide.

ChemChina pursues growth through domestic development and international expansion, including acquisitions and partnerships intended to raise technological capability, scale, and global market access. A landmark milestone is the 2017 acquisition of Syngenta, the Swiss agrochemical and seeds company, in a deal valued around $43 billion. The acquisition created one of the world's largest crop protection and seeds businesses and expanded ChemChina’s global footprint in agricultural science and innovation.
