Syngenta is a Swiss agrochemical and seed company headquartered in Basel, Switzerland. It was founded in 2000 through the merger of the chemical division of Bayer and the seed division of Sanofi to create a global leader in crop protection and seed solutions. The company is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and is a constituent of the Swiss Market Index.

Syngenta’s product portfolio spans insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and seed treatments, as well as a range of genetically engineered cultivars for crops such as soybeans, corn, cotton, canola and wheat.
