LEDarmaturer
LEDarmaturer are luminaires that use light-emitting diodes as the primary light source. They consist of a LED module or array, an electrical driver, optics or lenses, and a housing with thermal management. LEDarmaturer can be standalone fixtures or integrated into larger lighting systems and are designed to replace conventional luminaires across many applications.
Common types include downlights, panel luminaires (troffers), linear fixtures, track heads, ceiling-mounted battens, and outdoor floodlights.
Key advantages are high energy efficiency, long service life, and low maintenance, in addition to instant full
Design considerations include thermal design, driver quality, flicker, dimming compatibility, and power quality. Luminaires should comply
From an environmental perspective, LEDs contain no mercury and generally offer lower lifecycle energy use than
