Képfoglaló

Képfoglaló is a Hungarian term that translates to "image occupier" or "picture holder." It refers to a placeholder or a designated space within a digital or physical design where an image is intended to be placed. This concept is commonly encountered in graphic design, web development, and layout planning.

The purpose of a képfoglaló is to provide a visual cue and structural element before the final image is available or finalized. Designers use them to establish the composition, size, and placement of visual elements within a larger work. This allows for the development of the surrounding content, such as text or other graphics, without needing the actual image at that stage.

In web design, képfoglaló elements are often implemented using HTML `<img>` tags with a `src` attribute pointing to a placeholder image service or a blank image file. These placeholders can be dynamically generated to display specific dimensions or even text indicating the intended content of the missing image. Similarly, in print design and layout software, dummy boxes or frames serve the same képfoglaló function.
