Kontrollstation

Kontrollstation is a term used in Swedish and other Nordic languages to describe a location or device where an operator monitors and controls a complex system. In English, the equivalent terms are control station, control center, or supervisory station. A kontrollstation serves as the point of interaction between humans and the operational process, integrating data, commands, and sometimes automation.

The primary function of a kontrollstation is to observe system status, interpret alarms, and issue control actions to maintain safe and efficient operation. It typically provides real-time data visualization, control interfaces, and logging for traceability. In many setups, the kontrollstation coordinates with remote devices and other control centers, ensuring consistent and coordinated responses across the system.
