Kompüutride

Kompüutride (Estonian for computers) are electronic devices designed to perform arithmetic and logical operations, store data, and execute programmable instructions. They range from small embedded systems in appliances and vehicles to personal computers, servers, and data-center infrastructure. Modern kompuutride rely on the stored-program concept, where both data and instructions reside in memory. This enables flexible software-based control across diverse applications.

The development trajectory began with mechanical calculators and early electronic devices, advancing through the transistor and integrated-circuit eras to the microprocessor.
