Internetskapacitet, often translated as internet capacity or bandwidth, refers to the maximum amount of data that can be transmitted over an internet connection in a given amount of time. It is typically measured in bits per second (bps), with common units being megabits per second (Mbps) and gigabits per second (Gbps). Higher capacity means more data can be sent and received simultaneously, leading to faster download and upload speeds.

The capacity of an internet connection is determined by several factors, including the type of technology used (e.g., fiber optic, DSL, cable, satellite), the infrastructure of the internet service provider (ISP), and the network congestion. For example, fiber optic cables generally offer much higher capacities than traditional copper cables used in DSL connections.
