Integritetstest is a broad term used to describe procedures that aim to verify or ensure the integrity of information, systems, or people. In information technology and data management, integritetstest refers to checks that data or systems have not been altered in undesired ways, and to methods that preserve consistent state and trust. Common techniques include checksums and cryptographic hashes, digital signatures, error-detecting codes such as CRCs, and integrity constraints in databases (for example, referential integrity). Regular verification of backups, auditing logs, and end-to-end integrity checks in communications are also part of these practices.

In psychology and human resource management, integritetstest denotes tests designed to assess an individual's honesty and reliability. These are typically used in employment screening and may be overt integrity tests (direct questions about honesty, past theft, or misconduct) or personality-based tests (inference from traits associated with prosocial behavior and rule-following). Debates surround validity, potential faking, and privacy or discrimination concerns, and legal frameworks in various countries govern how such tests may be used.

In broader security and risk contexts, integrity testing can refer to exercises that evaluate whether systems remain trustworthy under attack or stress, such as penetration testing, code integrity checks, and audit processes that reveal tampering or data corruption.
