Infrastruktúrakódolás

Infrastruktúrakódolás, often referred to as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), is a practice of managing and provisioning IT infrastructure through machine-readable definition files, rather than through physical hardware configuration or interactive configuration tools. This approach treats infrastructure as software, allowing for automation, version control, and collaboration in the creation and management of data centers and cloud environments.

The core principle of IaC is to define infrastructure components such as virtual machines, networks, load balancers, and storage in code. This code can then be versioned, tested, and deployed repeatedly and consistently. Popular IaC tools include Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager. These tools interpret the code and interact with cloud providers or on-premises systems to create, update, or delete infrastructure resources.

The benefits of adopting IaC are numerous. Automation reduces the potential for human error, leading to more reliable and repeatable deployments. Version control allows teams to track changes, revert to previous states, and collaborate effectively. IaC also facilitates the adoption of DevOps practices by enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure. Furthermore, it enables faster provisioning and scaling of resources, increased agility, and cost savings through efficient resource utilization.
