Long-term use can lead to tolerance, where higher doses are needed to achieve the same effect, and physical or psychological dependence. Withdrawal symptoms can occur if the medication is stopped abruptly. Side effects can include drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, impaired coordination, and memory problems.
