Husdyrene

Husdyrene, or domestic animals, refer to species that have been selectively bred and kept by humans for various purposes, including companionship, labor, food production, and other utilitarian roles. These animals have undergone genetic and behavioral changes over centuries to better suit human needs, often forming mutually beneficial relationships with their human caretakers.

Common categories of husdyrene include livestock such as cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs, which are raised primarily for meat, milk, wool, or hides. Other domesticated animals serve different functions, such as dogs, which have been bred for companionship, herding, hunting, and protection, while horses are often used for transportation, work, and sport.
