Haftverbund

Haftverbund, also known as the "bonding system" or "adhesive bond," refers to a method of connecting two or more materials or components through the use of an adhesive substance. This technique is widely employed in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and electronics, where strong, durable, and lightweight joints are required.

The primary principle behind Haftverbund involves the application of an adhesive material—such as epoxy resins, polyurethanes, or cyanoacrylates—between the surfaces of the materials to be joined. When properly cured, the adhesive forms a strong chemical or mechanical bond, distributing stress across the interface and enhancing structural integrity. This method is particularly advantageous for bonding dissimilar materials, such as metals, plastics, ceramics, or composites, which may be difficult or impractical to join using traditional mechanical fasteners like screws or rivets.
